Is it bootleg to conference call someone but revelation them?

I recieved a call currently during work from a lady wanting me to insist a policy. we explained a process as well as she kept perplexing to instil which we pronounced something we did not. Once we had simplified a process to her satisfaction, she said, "Do we assimilate that, jane?" we had been 3-way called a total time as well as she had never told me. Obviously this is decrepit as well as underhanded, though is it illegal? we didn’t contend or do anything wrong, it only gave me an ooky feeling as well as we won’t certitude this lady any more or do most to assistance her in a future.
I am in Texas.
